The now iconic German folding chair has been in production since 1952 and should be considered a long-lasting classic. The SE18 Folding chair won The Good Design Award at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1953 and the silver medal at the Triennale in Milan in 1954. Designed by Egon Eiermann "The chair is a complicated object. Anyone who has ever tried to design a chair knows this. There are endless possibilities and many problems - the chair must be lightweight, it must be strong and comfortable at the same time. It is almost easier to build a high-rise than a cha". The factory is located just outside of Stuttgart where every piece is still manufactured by hand with traditional tooling techniques. Wilde+Spieth has been making functional furniture for bars, orchestras, restaurants, hotels and general households for decades.

Constructed from solid beech wood and steel sub-straits. Natural beech finished with a clear lacquer and a stained wood finish.

Our returns policy lasts for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase has been delivered, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Goods / Returns must be received to Dyke & Dean within 14 days of being delivered to you. If Goods / Returns are received after this we will not issue a refund. Notification to our office of your return via telephone, email, fax and or letter within 14 days does not mean a refund will be given. A refund will only be reviewed if the Goods / Returns are received within 14 days to our possession.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for the delivery costs of returning the goods. 

Bespoke/Made to order products, cut lengths of fabric cable under 100m and Outlet items are non-returnable.
